The annual enrollment and tuition fees enable each student to fully participate in all programs offered by UCA, except some field trips.  The student is responsible for providing certain classroom supplies, such as pencils, paper, erasers, etc.  A list of required supplies is available each summer.

Tuition shall be paid in one of two ways: (1) full payment must be made by June 1 (the due date for the re-enrollment contract) or any other specific date established by the Board in writing; or (2) parents must enroll in FACTS and make periodic payments.

Families using the FACTS tuition program will be informed that FACTS assesses a mandatory $25 late fee for payments that are 5 days (or more) past due.  FACTS will issue a letter directly to the families concerning this matter.

Late Payments

A $25 late fee is automatically assessed if tuition is not paid by the 5th of each month.

For all tuition payment plans (including the FACTS tuition program), an authorized representative of UCA will inform the Head of School when any tuition payment is 30 days past due. At such time, the parents will be notified by letter of the delinquency and informed that the situation must be remedied within 30 days.

If, after the 30 day period, all outstanding tuition payments are not brought current, the parents will be notified and the student will not be allowed back into UCA.  The Board of Trustees will also be notified of the delinquency at this time. Should the student arrive at UCA after such notification, the student will be held out of class and the parents will be called to pick up the student.

In order for the student to be allowed back into UCA after the 30 day period, an authorized representative of UCA must sign a document officially informing the Head of School that the student is allowed to return.

Financial Commitment

In order to operate the school, Uvalde Classical Academy is committed to certain financial obligations that last throughout the academic year, such as paying teacher salaries, purchasing books, etc.  Therefore, we take very seriously the commitment of parents to pay the agreed-upon tuition amount for the year, even if the family withdraws from the school.  Parents are obligated to pay the full year’s tuition, even if they withdraw their child from the school during the school year.  Our Lord commands that we pay our obligations in a faithful and timely manner.  He also commands that we practice wisdom in assessing the cost of a tower before beginning the construction of it.

UCA Re-Enrollment

Dear Parents,

Once again, God is blessing and bringing families to UCA that want to give their children a distinctly Christ-centered, academically excellent, classical education as a foundation for life-long learning.  Giving God the glory for our continued growth, we are sending our re-enrollment package to the parents of our current students.  Please complete one package for each child.  A firm March 7th deadline for re-registration is necessary.  If you do not re-enroll and submit the re-enrollment fee by March 7th, we must assume we have your permission to give those spaces to new students.  Due to the excitement of moving to a new building, we anticipate that all classes will be filled and there will be a waiting list.  After March 7th, your student will be “in line” with new student applications and may end up in a waiting pool, simply due to class size limitations.

Re-enrollment forms are to be filled out and returned with your non-refundable registration fee and tuition contract at one of our UCA Open House events.  These need to be submitted and paid for in person.  Current student registration fees are $275 for Pre-K - 5th grade and $375 for 6th – 12th.  These fees are for curriculum and books for the upcoming year and are due per student, not per family.  We ask that you also read the revised Student/Parent Handbook which has been included with this packet.  Forms and fees will need to be completed and brought to UCA on one of the dates below at a UCA Open House.  We will be talking about Classical Education, UCA past & present, the application process, and Parent Council opportunities with a short Q&A time to follow.  Open House events dates are as follows:

Tuesday, February 18th from 5pm to 6pm

Monday, February 24th from 6pm to 7pm

Saturday, March 1st from 9:45am to 10:45am

Thursday, March 6th from 3:30pm to 4:30pm

Tuition for the 2014-15 school year will begin on June 1st.  UCA will be implementing a convenient new process for our parents to submit tuition payments.  We are partnering with FACTS Management Company to provide our families a streamlined and customized method to handle payments for tuition and fees.  You will be receiving more information in the next couple of months as we begin the process of accepting tuition payments through FACTS.
